Cómo ir del aeropuerto Newark (EWR) a Manhattan
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) está en Nueva Jersey, a unos 25 km al oeste de Manhattan. Aunque está en otro estado, suele ser tan rápido o más que JFK para llegar a Midtown gracias al tren NJ Transit.

1. AirTrain + NJ Transit (la mejor opción para casi todos)
- Sigue las señales AirTrain en tu terminal (gratis dentro del aeropuerto).
- Toma el AirTrain hasta la estación Newark Liberty International Airport (el AirTrain en sí es gratis, pero la estación tiene un cargo).
- Compra boleto NJ Transit a New York Penn Station: $16.00 (incluye AirTrain).
- Tomas el tren hacia "New York Penn Station" (Northeast Corridor o North Jersey Coast Line).
- Tiempo total: 35–45 minutos. Salidas cada 15–30 minutos.
Importante: NO confundas con Amtrak, que también para en Newark Liberty Airport pero cuesta $40+. Asegúrate de tomar NJ Transit.
2. Taxi
- Desde EWR los taxis son "livery" de Nueva Jersey (no taxis amarillos de NYC).
- Tarifa: $50–60 al medidor de NJ + peaje del túnel ($16) + propina + recargo de $17.50 a NYC.
- Total típico: $85–100.
- Hay fila oficial de taxis fuera de cada terminal. Pregunta el precio antes de subir.
3. Uber / Lyft
- UberX: $55–85 sin tráfico.
- Surge pricing puede subir a $100–130 en hora pico o eventos.
- Peaje del túnel incluido en la tarifa.
- Punto de recogida designado por terminal.
4. NewarkAirporter Bus
- Sale cada 30 minutos, 4 AM a 1 AM.
- Para en Bryant Park (42nd & 5th), Grand Central y Port Authority.

Consejos
- Si tu hotel está cerca de Penn Station / Times Square, el AirTrain + NJ Transit es casi siempre la mejor opción — más rápido que taxi en hora pico.
- El túnel Lincoln puede agregar 20–40 minutos al taxi/Uber en horas pico de la mañana o tarde.
- Compra boletos NJ Transit en máquina (acepta tarjeta) o en la app NJ Transit.
- Para volver al aeropuerto: salidas frecuentes desde Penn Station NY hacia "Newark Airport" (track 1-7).
